Still a concept at this moment, but Volkswagen have decided to showcase the pickup truck at the New York International Auto Show.
Constructed on a unibody frame, the platform is the same as the popular 3 row Volkswagen Atlas SUV.
This mid-size VW pickup truck has been previously displayed at the
Sao Paolo International Motor Show.
Volkswagen says it expects to be available for the South American market in the near future.
VW say there are currently no plans to produce the VW pickup truck for the United States market, however, they have the concept at NYIAS to gauge interest.
In other words, if you want this VW pickup truck to come the U.S. auto market, make a lot of noise about it. Comment on articles, post it on Facebook and make it public, like it on Instagram, ask VW for more info. Tell VW what you want in a truck from them.
