Jeep announces a Wrangler Rubicon 392 concept vehicle that achieves 0-60 in under 5 seconds. 392 because the engine displacement is 392 cubic inches. The result: 450 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque.

Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the off-road icon will have 3rd generation Dana 44 axles, electronic axle lockers on the front and rear, and the full-time two-speed transfer case.

Also standard on the Rubicon 392 concept is 17″ beadlock wheels with 37-inch mud-terrain tires, and a Mopar 2″ lift kit. Lifting the vehicle increases ground clearance to 13.25-inches and the breakover angle to 29.5 degrees. The approach angle is increased to 51.6 degrees and departure angle 40.1 degrees.

“Robust eight-speed transmission, massive low-end torque, and 3.73 gear ratio combine to deliver improved on-road performance and greater off-road capability.” -Jeep

With the push of button, the two-mode exhaust system changes performance sound. Other unique features on this concept are Red Rock-colored leather seats with gold stitching. A performance steering wheel is also added.

Rubicon rock rails protect the bottom sills from damage off-road, a steel belly pan, and steel bumpers on the front and back adds extra protection. If that’s not enough, a Warn winch is standard on the Rubicon 392 concept. A heavy-duty raised hood gives an aggressive look.

Just as pictured, the paint color is Granite Crystal, with Bronze accents on the tow hooks, as well as badging, shocks, wheels, and springs. Custom half doors and Wrangler’s Sky One-touch power convertible rooftop, and removable side panels give open-air freedom.
