With the weather in the northern parts of the United States, a lot of people (not everybody) want to feel safer with the comfort of an AWD or 4×4 system in their vehicle. It’s not always necessary to have and pay the higher price for a large or full-size SUV (sports utility vehicle) such as a Suburban though, just to get four-wheel drive. There are other options available such as compact or small SUVs that now come equipped with AWD or a 4×4 system. Which ones are the most fuel-efficient small AWD/4×4 SUVs?

A pop culture icon of 60s, the VW Bus/Transporter/Kombi/Microbus/Camper was a must have for hippies and/or surfers alike. I can say I have been lucky enough to ride in a few of these back home during my surfing phase.
They really were perfect, being able to fit a surfboard and sleep a few people, making for some really fun camping/surfing adventures.
