2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport
For 2020, Volkswagen brings us the Atlas Cross Sport. A sportier, sleeker and more dramatic version of the Atlas SUV, seating up to 5 people.
Available with Volkswagen’s 4Motion AWD system, the SUV will offer two powertrain options; the 2.0L turbocharged TSI engine with 235 hp or the 276hp V6 engine. Both engines get an 8-speed automatic transmission. As of today, fuel economy numbers are not published for the V6 configuration, but for the 2.0L turbo, EPA estimates are; 18 mpg in the city, 23 mpg on the highway and 20 mpg combined.

Trim levels
S
Pricing starts at $32,445 MSRP including the 4Motion AWD system (deduct $1,900 for FWD).
Equipped with the 2.0L turbo engine as standard, the S trim level comes with a cloth interior, 18″ aluminum alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers and a 6.5″ color touchscreen. Standard safety features include; Front Assist and Blind Spot Monitor.
SE
SE trim level pricing starts at $35,845 MSRP including 4Motion AWD.
Upgrades from the S trim level include; Keyless access, power liftgate 18″ machined wheels, 10-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, leatherette interior seat fabric, dual-zone climate control, and an 8″ color touchscreen and two more USB ports.
SE with Technology
$37,845 MSRP for the Atlas Cross Sport SE with Technology trim and 4Motion AWD.
A power upgrade to the V6 engine adds $1,400. The Technology part of the trim level name gives a clue as to the upgrades on this one. Features include front and rear Park Distance Control and Automatic Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop and Go. Easy Open rear liftgate; remote start; and a 115-volt power outlet in the second row are also added.
SEL
SEL pricing start at $41,445 MSRP with the 2.0L turbo engine and 4Motion. (V6 engine adds $1,800)
Adaptive Front-Lighting, chrome window surround for that luxury look and heated washer nozzles are added to SEL trims. A heated steering wheel, memory driver seat and exterior mirrors, an 8-way power passenger seat, digital driver display, navigation, and a panoramic sunroof make this trim a well-specced option.
Driver assistance features are also included and are; Lane Assist, Light Assist, Dynamic Road Sign Display, and Traffic Jam Assist.
SEL Premium
Top of the line, the SEL Premium is full loaded and for the 2020 Atlas Cross Sport, pricing starts at $46,295 MSRP for the 2.0L turbo ( limited availability) and $48,095 with V6 engine. 4Motion is standard and included.
Upgrades on the Atlas Cross Sport SEL Premium include; 20″ wheels, power-folding mirrors, leather seats, heated and ventilated front seats, Fender Premium Audio, a rear sunshade, and an Area View Camera.
R-Line Packages (late availability)
Available later in the year, the R-Line appearance package adds bigger wheels, black-accented bumpers, badging an stainless steel pedal caps. R-Line packages are only available for mid-high trims.
