Volkswagen’s new premium sport sedan, the Arteon, that replaces the CC is finally here and on dealership lots.
Here are 12 fancy features on the 2019 VW Arteon
Arteon is available in FWD or AWD
That’s right Lords and Ladies, this premium sport sedan is available with Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. This makes the car an option for rocky mountain residents too!
Hands-free trunk
Available on the top of the line SEL Premium trim, the hands-free power trunk can be opened by the kicking a foot under the rear bumper. Closing the trunk lid can be done by pushing a button on the key.
Digital cockpit
Traditional instrument clusters are replaced with a 12.3″ digital driver information screen. Standard on SEL and SEL Premium trims.
Advanced headlights that turn with the car
Full LED headlights are standard on all Arteon trims, but SEL models and up get the Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS). Headlight beams adjust accordingly to cornering and speed.
Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go
ACC makes for easier less stressful driving on the highway. Setting the adaptive cruise control allows the car to automatically slow down if there’s a slower moving car in front. As soon as the traffic starts to pick up speed again, the car will also pickup speed. If the vehicle in front comes to a complete stop, the Arteon will also come to a complete stop.
8″ capacitive touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provide seamless smartphone integration with the touch screen in the car. This feature on the all-new 2019 Arteon means you can have the car read your text messages to you, view navigation from your phone on the screen and listen to your favorite radio app. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all trims of Arteon.
DCC Adaptive Damping Suspension
A standard feature on the 2019 VW Arteon, the system adjusts rebound and compression rates on the suspension to improve vehicle handling and dynamics.
Huge trunk
27.2 cubic ft of trunk space increases to 55 cubic ft when the rear seats are folded. 27 cubic feet is apparently equivalent of 70 packet basketballs according to the Measure of Things.
Unique hood styling
A unique styling feature on the 2019 VW Arteon is the design of the hood. A clamshell-type hood, it folds over the traditional joint line we see on most cars.
The hood also offers more safety for pedestrians. A reactive hood, it raises on hinges using pyrotechnic technology to reduce the severity of injuries.
360 camera with a birdseye view
Available on SEL PRemium models, this feature on the 2019 VW Arteon uses 4 cameras to give drivers views all around and above the vehicle.
Massaging driver seat
Again, available on the top of the line luxury SEL Premium trim, is a massaging driver seat. Heated and ventilated front seats provide comfort no matter the weather.
Arteon’s are on dealership lots now. To find out more, contact your preferred VW dealership.
