2018 Ford F-150

We recently visited the 2017 Denver Auto Show to see first hand the new vehicles coming our way and to get all the latest information from the manufacturers themselves. We asked Jennifer Marzuk from Ford Motor Company to give us the low down on the new 2018 Ford F-150.

Jennifer told us, the 2018 F-150 will have new bold styling, a new front fascia, and the grills will be different depending on the trim level. There will initially be 6 trim levels available; an XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch®, Platinum and Limited.

At the back, there is a new tailgate design with a subtle ‘F-150’ stamp and updated tail lights. Updated technology includes SYNC 3®, SYNC CONNECT® and FordPass®.

SYNC 3® has all new hardware and software, as well a new interface design and Siri® integration.

FordPass® is a smartphone app that lets you access vehicle information, start your vehicle from a compatible smartphone, unlock your vehicle and even check fuel levels. With FordPay you can store card information securely and pay for parking from the app. Ford Credit allows you make payments from the app (if you financed through Ford). “F-150 features the best towing ever – thanks to more powerful, efficient engine offerings that include standard Auto Start-Stop across the range, all-new 3.0-liter Power Stroke® turbo diesel and expanded availability of segment-first 10-speed automatic transmission” 1 Other available engine choices will be the 3.3L V6, the 2nd generation 2.7L Ecoboost, and the 5.0 V8 that will have the 10-Speed tranny.

The 2018 Ford F-150 will be built in the USA, in Michigan and Missouri. It will be available for sale in the Fall of 2017.
