Allowing you to truly customize the power behind your Silverado, Chevy offers buyers a number of powertrain options available on the various trim levels. The base engine that comes standard on the WT, Customs, and Custom Trail Boss, is a 4.3-liter, V6 engine, with 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque.
Available as an upgrade on all trim levels is the popular 5.3 -liter, V8 engine, that increases horsepower to a more impressive 355 and raises the torque to 383 lb-ft.
In case you’re looking for a turbocharged engine option, there’s an all-new 2.7-liter turbo with an 8-speed transmission. Producing 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque, this option is available on the Work Truck and Custom.
Buyers looking to maximize their horsepower and torque at 420 and 460 respectively, will want to upgrade to the 6.2 liter, V8 engine that comes with a 10-speed transmission. Available on the Custom Trail Boss, LT Trail Boss, RST, LTZ, and High Country trim levels.
A 3.0-liter diesel option is also available on the upper trim levels and produces 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
A Comfortable Interior and Ample Cargo Space
With a regular-cab configuration, the new 2020 Chevy Silverado can comfortably seat three. Double Cab and Crew Cab models accommodate up to six with a front bench seat option. Front seats are contoured and comfortable, and Crew Cab back seats provide plenty of legroom for taller occupants (43.4″). At the base level, the interior materials are mostly plastic but sharp-looking and easy-to-clean.
Work Trucks have the option of cloth or vinyl interior.
LT trims have cloth seats with the option of upgrading to leather.
LTZ trims and High Country trims come with leather seating as standard.
When it comes to customizing your cargo space, you will have three bed options to choose from; a 5’10”, 6’7″, and 8’2″ depending on which cab size you choose. 2020 Chevy Silverado’s have the most cargo volume of any truck in the full-size pickup class.

The new Silverado also features a number of upgraded technology features to allow you to better monitor and tow any load. - 2.7L turbo gas 8-speed auto is 19 mpg city, 22 mpg highway and 20 mpg combined.
- 5.3L gas V8 10-speed auto is 16 mpg city, 22 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined.
- 6.2L gas V8 10-speed auto is 16 mpg city, 20 mpg highway and 17 mpg combined.

The 2020 Chevy Silverado is designed to be a powerful work truck, but also turns heads on the road.
