David Stricker

David Stricker is a Senior Master Technician, gas, and diesel at the Fremont Motors Ford & Lincoln Dealership in Sheridan, WY.

We interviewed him to find out a little more, here are the questions we asked;

How long have you worked in the Industry?

35 years. He said he started out as an apprentice technician working on Datsuns (now Nissan). David began working on Fords in 1993. David Stricker has completed all the possible training he can do that is offered by Ford. “I don’t have any more schools left to take”, he said.

What is your favorite part of the job?

Quote, “payday haha…but I like working on diesels”

Where did you grow up?

David grew up in Traverse City, Michigan and says that work brought him to Wyoming.

When you aren’t working, what are you doing?

In the winter time, he likes to go ice-fishing. In the summer, he likes to fish, hunt, go quadding, hiking and camping. David’s favorite camping spot is at the top of the Bighorn Mountains.

What are you passionate about?

David says he is passionate about the outdoors.”Just getting out, whether it’s walking the dog or hiking in the summer” he says. It’s a good job he lives and works right next to the Bighorns!

What is your favorite food?

“Can’t go wrong with a ribeye”

Favorite Color?

“The family tells me it’s blue, I didn’t know that ’till a few years ago haha”.

How about music. What kind of music do you like?

“Old rock, but right now I’ listening to a lot of blues rock. Eric Clapton and I like Santana”

What was your first car?

“A 1972 F250” he said. How ironic!

If money was no object, what vehicle would you own?

“I like my trucks, a 6.7 powerstroke”.

The Sheridan dealership is very family-oriented and what is cool, is that David Stricker’s son works in the by right next to him. He is learning the trade just like his father. His son started off as a lube tech and is now moving on to doing prep work on used vehicles and light line work.
