Back in the day, a truck was a truck. It was meant for work and perhaps the most luxurious part of one was the RAM ornament on the front of the hood. Not now. The luxury segment in the truck world is getting more and more popular. Meet the RAM Tungsten.

RAM Trucks said that “More than 40 percent of the Ram 3500 Heavy Duty sales mix is in one of the brand’s three luxury trims”. Those three trim packages being the Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited. Now they have introduced the Tungsten Edition.

RAM Tungsten Edition

The Tungsten Edition will be the new top-of-line luxury truck from RAM. The truck will be based on the ‘Limited’ trim level with added features, and styling differences. The ‘Limited’ only comes with black leather.

RAM Tungsten Edition seats will be, “Natura Plus” premium leather, the same material as the ‘Limited’ but in ‘Frost’ and ‘Indigo-hue’ colors. Genuine wood trim will also be present throughout the interior. Yes, other trucks have that too but an industry first in the truck segment that makes the Tungsten Edition stand out is a suede headliner.

8.4″ Touch Screen with Apply Car Play and Android Auto
Sirius XM Guardian
Tungsten Chrome Grille with large R A M letters
Sport hood (with vents) on 1500 models
Body color-matched bumpers
Color-matched mirrors, door handles, and running boards
Body-colored R A M letters on the tailgate
Black surround on headlamps
Satin painted wheels

On top of these already standard features

Features already included in the ‘Limited’ that will be standard in the Tungsten Edition are;

Remote Start
Backup Camera
Heated Steering Wheel
Ventilated and heated front seats
Heated rear seats
RamBox (on 2500 and 3500 6’4″ box only)

The Tungsten Edition trim level package will available on 1500s, 2500, 3500 SRW, 3500 DRW, Crew Cab and Mega Cab, 2×4 and 4×4. So most of the trucks.

Delmonico Red Pearl

Maximum Steel Metallic (1500 only)

Why is it called the “Tungsten Edition”?

Ram Trucks say, “Tungsten is considered a rare metal and known as one of the toughest things found in nature. The dense, heavy metal has the highest melting point of all the elements and is harder than steel. What better material to describe Ram’s highest trim”.

When will it be available?

The Tungsten Edition will be available third quarter 2017 (fall) and will start at $55,150 plus destination charges.
